Ian Samuels is an experienced investor and operator whose career has spanned climate finance, policy, business incubation, and private equity. He is the founder and Managing Partner of New System Ventures, a climate tech investment firm based in New York City. Ian was previously a founding member of Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners, Nyca Partners, and Cavnue, as well as a Principal at Centerbridge Partners. Ian began his career at Blackstone, then worked in public policy on financial crisis response, capital markets, and climate finance at the U.S. Treasury Department.
